NSW TrainLink XPT

The aerodynamic design and trademark ‘nose’ make the XPT distinctive as it cruises through the countryside between Brisbane & Sydney and Sydney & Melbourne (also services some NSW regional towns). Mainline journeys feature sleeping carriages on overnight departures, plus first class and economy seating carriages (on both day and night services), as well as a buffet car selling hot/cold meals, snacks, alcoholic and non/alcoholic drinks.

The Savannahlander

A truly unique weekly rail journey - the 1960s Savannahlander rail-motor traverses the 423 km journey over two days, offering passengers the opportunity to discover and explore the remote North Queensland outback - it’s at a relaxed pace, travelling in relative style, through country you will never forget. Affectionately known as the “Silver Bullet”, it is considered one of Australia’s more interesting rail experiences.

Broken Hill Outback Explorer

A wonderful 1,150 km journey from Sydney to the Silver City (Broken Hill), winds over the Great Dividing Range to glide through the Blue Mountains with its well-known scenic beauty. Golden West Vintage Rail

The Prospector

The state-of-the-art high-speed Prospector travels the 653 km journey at up to 160 km/hr, making it more than competitive with road travel. This is a modern and comfortable air-conditioned daylight service between Perth and WA’s remote goldfield frontier - the Kalgoorlie Railway Station is Western Australia’s most easterly attended station. Each seat boasts power points for charging your electronic devices and an on-demand personal entertainment system, complete with new release movies. Food and drinks can be purchased from the full buffet service onboard. The Prospector departs daily in each direction, and twice on Mondays and Fridays.
